One of the reasons why my wife and I didn't take tours in Singapore was that I have lots of friends who are working there. If we want to go to some place, we'd never get our time wasted because someone would show us around. Anyhow, I met up with most of my friends on our second night, before we headed off to Esplanade's merlion. We ate dinner at Cafe Cartel in Marina Square. The place was alright, packed with lots of people. Their food was good too. The only problem for me was their crew. They all look like high schoolers to me. Even the way they fix their hair, some looked like addicts or everyday bystanders. The only thing that made them look decent were their uniforms. Good serving and good food. worth your money. Definitely not disappointed when we dined there.
A few pics of the luxurious cars that were displayed in Epcot near the Test Track was. Won't be able to get into one of these anytime soon. Lookihere ... a Hummer! Also saw some Hummer Limos downtown, didn't expect it to have one. It looks stupid by the way. Better a regular Hummer like the orange one than a Limo Hummer. And ... I just love sports cars! This white experimental car that users hydrogen as fuel looks like a one-seater.

Heard of Bread Talk? They actually own the Food Republic which first started in Singapore but then expanded to Hongkong. It is a food court chain which combines local hawker fare with mini restaurants in an open dining concept.
Some stalls are also run from standalone pushcarts. Food Republic's elaborate decor and furniture are designed to invoke a nostalgic kampong atmosphere. We happened to pass by on one branch on our way home in Tsim Sha Tsui from our trip in Macau. The address is Silvercord Basement, Silvercord 30 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
